Sometimes, you just have to play! These paper mache love birds were started years ago, and had been sitting on a shelf in the studio. Last weekend they were finished off with paint, feathers and wooden elements, and dropped off to sell at my favorite local shop – just in time for Valentine’s Day!
After starting this huge (30″ x 30″) canvas well over a year ago, it’s finally finished! Cabin fever has its benefits – a productive push is happening at Little House… stay tuned – more over-sized pantings are in the works!
Chilly winter days on the outside, cozy days inside the studio. Preparing some fun Valentine pieces for Dandelions Gift Shop in Barre.
Entering the Rail Trail Flatbread pizza contest is more fun with friends! Our entries are now at this fantastic restaurant in Hudson, Massachusetts, vying for a chance to win free flatbread pizza for a year!
Lots of fun items are being created in the studio for this holiday season! Totes, mini calendars and tiny salt & pepper shakers are just a few items now being sold in local shops and beyond–The Kitchen Garden in Hubbardston, Dandelions Gifts in Barre and Oglethorpe Fine Arts & Crafts in Meredith, New Hampshire all have Little House items in stock. Handmade items make the best gifts!
Recently, on a rainy Sunday afternoon, a group of friends gathered to create fun and colorful crafts celebrating the “Day of the Dead.” Craft stations were set up to create tiny ofrendas (miniature altars honoring passed loved ones), colorful rock paintings and painted clay pots. The afternoon was filled with warmth, fun snacks and lots of laughter – good for the soul, both here and beyond!
Fall is here, and that means… it’s almost MITTEN TIME! There’s a huge selection of Little House handmade mittens heading out to various shops in the area, including Dandelions in Barre, MA. These are made from recycled wool sweaters with cotton fleece lining. Each pair is unique and super toasty warm. This year, children’s sizes are available! There is only a limited supply available – scoop ’em up before they’re gone!
Our Without a Net musical event fundraiser has a new offering… hand-painted umbrellas, donated by local artists, to be raffled off during the event on August 4. All proceeds are being donated to the UMass Cancer Center. Event details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/345447189194923/
New items created using my original, hand-carved stamps. Printed on 100% cotton canvas with permanent fabric ink. Fun and practical items to give as gifts or just treat yourself! Totes are 8″x 8″, a perfect size for carrying your lunch to work! Visit Dandelions in Barre or Petersham Art Center in Petersham to see them in person.
