What’s new at the studio
Celebrating 21!
We recently held a special workshop to celebrate Samantha’s milestone birthday. A gathering of girlfriends to create a colorful piece of art for Sam’s apartment was the perfect way to mark the occasion. Each guest received a 5″ canvas and was asked to cover it with paint and whatever other materials they wanted to work with – the only specific request was that they use a heart shape as the focal point of their piece. We then mounted the canvases on an old piece of barn board and *PRESTO*! It was a fun day that no one will soon forget!
A New Exhibit!
Drop by the Sawmill River Arts Gallery at the Montague Mill between February 7 and March 1 to see the 6 x 6 Community Art Exhibit, including three pieces from Little House Art Studio. The mixed media creations, “Cavalier”, “Boston Terrier”, and “Basset” will be on display along with many other pieces by area artists. For more info, go to sawmillriverarts.com
A new venue!
I am very pleased to report that several of my pieces are on display at the fabulous Petersham Art Center. Mittens, paintings, calendars and two types of notecards from Little House Art Studio are available for purchase – just in time for the holidays! Take a ride to Petersham – it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon in New England. And don’t forget to stop at the Country Store on the common for a fantastic lunch!
