Baskets!

I enjoyed a wonderful basket-making class at the Petersham Art Center yesterday, and learned how to make this lovely wine basket. It still needs to be stained, but I’m feeling pretty amazed with the results! Sue Morello is an awesome teacher, and I highly recommend taking a class at the center.

On the lake

I am very pleased to now have my work in Oglethorpe Fine Arts & Crafts in Meredith, N.H.! It’s a beautiful shop on Lake Winnipesaukee, featuring the works of over 600 american artists. Creations of jewelry, pottery, woodenware, iron, glass, fiber and more fill this wonderful space! Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/oglethorpefineartscrafts/info.

Felting!

It has been a goal of mine for a long time to explore the craft of felting. I bought books and all the “stuff”, which sat untouched in a box for  y e a r s … Well, I brought the box with me while vacatfelting-pup-for-webioning in Maine recently, and lo and behold – created this little guy! He’s wee – only 3″ long, but BIG on CUTE! This will a fun creative outlet during the cold winter months ahead!

A new venue!

I hung five pieces in the Sturbridge Coffee House today. It’s a very cool place, and business was brisk on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. If you’re in the Sturbridge area any time soon, stop by 453 Main St, Fiskdale, and check it out!

Weaving!

There are always new things happening at Little House. My latest project: using a rigid heddle loom and some beautiful alpaca yarn, I’ve started weaving colorful scarves. A big “thank you” to Jennifer Baum at The Weaving Shed in West Boylston for teaching me this wonderful craft!

6×6 Success!

sawmillA few of my pieces were on display in the 6×6 Community Exhibit last month at the Sawmill River Arts Gallery at the Montague Mill, and my piece “Love Song #2” was sold! 100 people showed up for the opening, and the exhibit was very well-attended. If you’re looking for something fun to do for an afternoon, check out this fun gallery: http://sawmillriverarts.com

Art exhibit at local business

I hope the holiday season is a bright and happy one for you.Pam Spielberg displays artwork at Touch of Relief

Among the many things that I’ve been busy with recently is hanging an exhibit of my work at Touch of Relief in Barre, Mass.

Many of the pieces hanging can be seen here on my new website. They are inspired by a moment, a contact, a phrase, or piece of music. They reflect the light that fills my life.

Touch of Relief is located at 920 Worcester Road, Barre, Mass.
